The Silver Pony

My new wild animal story, The Silver Pony, is published next week! This was such an interesting book for me to write – it’s about real ponies, the ponies of the New Forest, who roam half-wild for most of the year. I’ve been to the New Forest a couple of times, and been fascinated by these beautiful independent creatures. I loved walking through the forest and spotting ponies here and there! The Silver Pony is also a story about friends, and keeping a friendship going through the hardest of times.

This is the silvery pony I spotted through the trees, just as Daisy first spots Em.

The forest is crisscrossed by tiny streams, and there are ponies everywhere!

I took so many photos of beautiful trees too… I need to go back!
