Ten Million Minutes Reading Challenge

This is a brilliant initiative to get children reading in school – with some wonderful prizes! Why not suggest it to your school?

The challenge takes place from Thursday 9th March to Wednesday 15th March 2017.

The aim of the competition is to inspire children’s love of reading as well as highlight the importance of reading from a young age.

The competition is really simple. It’s open to all primary schools in England and is free to enter. All they have to do is read for as many minutes as they can during the one-week challenge. They collate their daily totals on the Ten Million Minutes website, and whoever tops the leaderboard by the end of the week could win the prize!

The fantastic first place prize is a brand new library or reading area worth £10,000, courtesy of Peters.

Second, Third and fourth place will win a £250 voucher to spend on primary resources with Oxford University Press.
